In reality, Florida's handling of this deserves a forfeit. But there's no way the SEC will force them to forfeit, and the Gators will get credit for trying to reschedule on Nov. 19.
That's my feeling as well. Florida is responsible for hosting the game. LSU offered to host it for them, given the circumstances. Florida understandably declined, but that doesn't relieve them of responsibility for hosting. Find a solution, or forfeit.

Yeah. I'm still worried that he'll be a surprise scratch on Saturday. I'm even more worried that he'll play when he shouldn't. ^This. With healthy ribs, he's not that accurate and a bit loose with the football. In my experience, really banged up ribs don't help with that.

Sports / VTTW Message Board / How's Dobbs?

He got drilled on the fumble, and looks pretty dazed on the sidelines. I don't know about him, but my ribs would be a jigsaw puzzle after a hit like that.

From an outsiders POV, and I hope I don't get virtually kicked in the groin for this one, I see it as coaching. The talent is there, the experience is there and UT just seems to be ready for the next level. I think the main thing that could hold y'all back this year is coaching. I like Butch, I really do. But some of his decision making last year was questionable. I think he learns from that and applies it this year. I seriously think you guys don't lose more than 2 games this year and have a more than 50/50 shot at going undefeated. On paper, you guys should coast into the ATL this year for the SECCG. It'll be up to coaches and team leadership (which I think you guys have) to keep focused through the year.
Good point. I'm optimistic that we have the on-the-field leadership to overcome corncobs in inappropriate places on the sideline, but we'll see.

I think a big problem was the lighting. Projectors generally require very low light, and most of our night games start and play at least the first half before sundown up until the time change late in the season. But if you have a very shady spot, you can probably make it work.
What BDV said. Like VolVeeta, I have an indoor projector onto a 90 in screen in a mancave. It's freakin' awesome, but ANY stray light distracts and washes out color and detail. Easy enough to control in a basement, but you need be sure you have a very dark location to make it work outside.

Hmm. I know Dobbs isn't the greatest passer in the world, but... Before I start favorably comparing a relative unknown recruit from the football hotbed of Connecticut to a four year starter in the SEC, who's being mentioned as a darkhorse Heisman contender this year, I'm going to need to see it with my own eyes. You are such as skeptic, BDV. Here, have some kool-aid

You ever see a car driving through Tennessee with a Roll Tide sticker in the window?
I give you llamas in the desert.
Just to geek it out (or beat the piss out of a dead camel), from Wikipedia: "Camel" is also used more broadly to describe any of the six camel-like mammals in the family Camelidae: the two true camels and the four New World camelids: the llama, alpaca, guanaco, and vicuña of South America. So there you have it - a llama IS, in fact, a camel. My guess is their urines taste quite similar, but again, I'll defer to Bandit's expertise.

I cannot comment on horse piss. But I was once lost in the desert and forced to resort to drinking llama urine, and it tasted remarkably like beer.
Hmmm...llamas are native to the Andes mountains - they don't do so well in the desert. Are you sure you weren't drinking camel urine? Were there subtle notes of date and falafel? I'm sure Bandit can elaborate on the subtle differences.

I'll be taking a week to float down the San Juan river in the 4 Corners area with friends and family over Memorial Day. Hope to get up in the Colorado high country for a 4-5 day backpacking trip as well.
While you're in Maine, rent a bicycle in Acadia NP and tootle around the carriage roads. Flat, easy riding through the Maine forests with no cars!
