BTW, it was clear last night that Peterman was the B/U
The time I posted about he and Dobbs war mingling up I think was more about testing Dobbs' hand. Peterman still had on his red cap.

Is he? Probably. But I still wonder about Riley Ferguson. I want to trust that the coaches made the right call, but I still can't help but think the reason we didn't see Ferguson get a shot this season is because they didn't want to burn the red shirt. I don't think Dobbs would've gotten a shot if both Worley and Peterman hadn't been hurt . . . and if Ferguson hadn't been suffering from a bum leg that week, I think it would've been Ferguson's red shirt who was burned instead of Dobbs'.

i would agree. Even last nite Ferguson wasn't really planting that leg in warmups. He does have a major league arm. It will be an interesting spring practice QB wise.

Dobbs on occasion can throw a good deep pass (2 against MO - North apparently lost the ball in the lights and the pass where he hit Smith in a bad spot, his hands).
All too often though his long pass seem to not have any zip to them and see, to hang up and drift around.

I still think Dobbs has more potential than Worley. he threw terrible last nite, but threw much better previously. Perhaps he had trouble with the cold weather? It looked kinda like he did not have a good grip on the ball.

I like some of what I've seen from Dobbs. He's had some nice passes dropped, and been a victim of a porous line. I also think Worley did an amazing job of improving.
This doesn't mean I want to see a repeat of this offense.

Usually when a ball comes out as wobbly as it does with Dobbs its because of one or two things. He's either milking the ball or squeezing it. either way it comes out of the hand like a wounded duck.
