First half musings

1) Good Joe has definitely been on the field.

2) Wright has done well pass blocking, and is ~10 yards from 1,000.

3) Lampley has done as well as he can at RG.

4) The DL has competed.

5) Gap integrity by LBs and safeties is an issue.

6) I'd like to see Small score. He's been more effective this year as a runner than I anticipated, but he's always done the unglamorous stuff well.

They really didn't rush. They didn't try to get to Milroe. He just stood and stood and stood and stood and then threw the TD. Completely idiotic. Did they think that if he took off from the 35 that he was gonna run it in?

They had been letting them go at it all game...There at the end they weren't going to just decide to call what they let go all game. It was a classic push off however.

I agree. It was a push to get separation, but that goes uncalled more often than not. 

Imo, as stated earlier in this thread, the decision to not put any pressure at all on Milroe was the biggest reason that Auburn gave up that TD.

It was a stupid decision....Auburn deserved to lose playing that defense.

Didn't see it live, but if they truly only rushed 2, that is beyond stupid.  Chavis must have possessed their DC.  :naughty:

The 2 did not make any real effort to get to Milroe. It was more like a 0-man rush. I could not believe I was watching it when it was happening. They would have been better off putting 10 DBs at the 5 yard line and doubling every receiver. I am not saying that is what they should have done, but it would have been better than what they did, imo.
