The last time Tennessee and Alabama met with undefeated records (assuming the Tide take care of business against TAMU tonight).

Bama spanked us that year at Legion Field 47-30. Given the strength of both teams, I could see a similar score this year. But hopefully I'm wrong.

I'll be honest, I think our chances are pretty low. I like our chances far better against Georgia, simply because Bama's offense is so good.

But I may change my mind after watching the TAMU game tonight.

Funny, because I feel the opposite. I feel better about Bama (home) than I do UGA (away)

I was a senior that year and went down to Bham for the game. Sirhan Stacy ran all over us, but that was so the game Andy Kelly became the starter. If he had been the starter to begin with, who knows.

But also that was a game few gave us a chance in and the result just confirmed it.

The lack of respect nationally continued till about 1995, when we finally broke the top 5 and stayed there at seasons end.

Hopefully  this season is similar!
