Is there another quality coach or proven coach out there that would consider going to Louisville? I don't think so. Jurich closed the loopholes as was noted in an earlier post.

Recruits are stupid. A Vandy recruit recently said he was on board with James Franklin because he would lead Vandy to the national championship. That being said, Petrino's never been a great recruiter...he's a great coach and developer of QBs.





Well they DID lower their academic standards.

I guess it's true then....winning IS the only thing that matters.   

I'm not really one of those guys who thinks every program should be lilly white.  I understand the amount of $$$ involved.

At the same time, it's gone too far and not just at Louisville  Fan expectations are RIDICULOUS and the amount of money flowing into college football (and any sport for that matter) - as much as I love college football (and other sports) - is frankly a sign of seriously misplaced priorites by fans and the leaders of the "academic institutions". 

It just.  Isn't.  That big of a deal. 

But it is what it is, I suppose.
