Agreed. If a defensive player is going in for a tackle at the waist and the offensive player lowers his head or falls down, the offensive player can't help hitting him high.

So were Johnny Manzeil and RG3.  I don't think McBride is in their league, but with better coaching next year, who knows?

Most likely, Butch has no investment in maintaining these RS'S and already knows it.

Of course, the longer it goes the more I worry that there might be the possibility that he returns in 2018.

we have some walk-ons.  And there is always the wildcat.  We have 3-4 good RBs.

Of the three, Jancek appears the best option, on paper, followed by Washington.

Ridiculous call on the FG attempt.  I hate to benefit from awful officiating, but after all the bad breaks the Vols have, finally one goes our way.  I;ll take it!!   :naughty:

Yeah looks more like a ridiculous rule rather than a bad call.

A lot of these calls on them look bogus.  Compounded with the fact that we have zero penalties as of now, I would say that it smells fishy.  Except that we're not playing for anything.  Pretty sure the SEC wouldn't pay off an officiating crew just to get Tennessee eligible for the Birmingham Bowl. :frown:

I don't remember a game with this big a discrepancy in penalty yardage.
