Title: Anyone have a ?bed in a box?? Post by: Black Diamond Vol on March 16, 2024, 07:23:43 EDT My current mattress (a cheap off-brand memory foam I got off Amazon) is about 10 years old and I?m ready to replace it with something of higher quality. Currently leaning toward the Nectar Premiere Hybrid, which is supposed to be good for side-sleepers like me. Anyone have any other recommendations?

Don't know what it was though. :naughty: Stayed in a Hilton a few years back that had the best mattress I had ever slept on. I got back home after a few days and I called the Hilton where I stayed to find out the mattress brand....I got it and looked it up.....it costs more than my car did. :laugh: Title: Re: Anyone have a ?bed in a box?? As you may or may not be aware, mattresses have the highest margins of nearly any big household purchase you can make. A $9k mattress probably only costs a couple hundred bucks to manufacture.

Someone can buy a new car, and even if that car is still in tiptop shape after 4-5 years, a good % of people will be itching to replace it with a newer model with all the latest bells and whistles. I asked him why such the markup on furniture. He said...because most of it is financed and there isn't nothing to repo...It's all beat up...broke...wore out and tore up.
