While it is easy to read ME!... ME!... ME!!!!  into this, I am no ill feelings towards this kid.

College is about preparing yourself for a future career.  If he feels a change will help him professionally, then I think he is right to pursue it.

I enjoyed his time here.

Not one single word about his former teammates
He admits that essentially abondoned his teammates
This about nine (9) days too late

As I stated in my first post on his quitting

Agree 100%. As I posted last week...when you quit on you teammates with 4 games left that tells you a lot.
