Robert Downey Jr. is the perfect choice for Ironman. And I like the avenger movies choice of hulk however I sure wish there was a better hulk movie put out. Eric Banas not a bad choice but Ed Norton? Give me break.

What JUDGMENT! Tyler confessed. Tyler used the word inappropriate. Tyler resigned a reaction to his contrition. There is no gray area concerning this unfortunate incident unless you wish to argue that it isn't WHAT TYLER SAID IT IS! The only person judging here (so far) is you. Actually what I posted was out of a sense of pride in how he was addressing the issue (thus far) that he ADMITTED TO CREATING. How did I know that someone would resent the fact that a "christian" had something to say at all? He could have tried to cover it up and left like a snake in the grass but he didn't. I would have been less impressed if he had and we probably would not be having this tiffed because I would not have posted anything positive which is how my previous post should have been taken.

Into every life a little rain must fall. We are all rain makers or as the saying goes our own worst enemy. How we handle adversity is at least as important as the fact that we cause most of it. I think the babies are Gods way of providing opportunity for personal responsibility.

The one time cost of buying a arial antenna may make it worth experimentation. There are some amplified antennae that certify a distance greater than the 50 miles you mention. I saw one setup that boasts a pickup range of 120 miles (I don't know how accurate that is though). You are closer than Nashville to a few larger markets such as Atlanta. Possibly Charlotte. I don't know if it is rebroadcast into the Nashville market but I do get a free air hd channel from Chicago. That is the best I know what to tell you.

Tamu fed back to Northern Iowa what they fed to Tejas. I saw the regulation ending of that game. When it was a 6 point deficit with less that 10 seconds left I turned it away for two seconds. I just knew they had no chance. You gotta feel for Northern they were stuck under Tamus basket and didn't have a time out. Everything went wrong for half a minute.

I love it when the bracket is smashed from the top instead of chipped away at the bottom. First Yale, then Wichita State and now MTSU (and to a lesser extent Hawaii). You can bet though that the final four will still have dominant teams like Duke, NC or UK (KU).

True all... but again... the students accused are dismissed from the team. It would seem to me that they need to stop trying to pile up incidents willy nilly and choose only the cases that tend to convey what they are actually trying to litigate. The weaker cases would tend to show the motive if not of the plantiffs surely of their lawyers. What I'm trying to say is not too long ago on this board someone indicated the monetary worth of UT athletics. Shortly after that these cases started popping up. Maybe the lawyers read the paper also.

I happen to agree with him; fight it if nothing happened (and independently)
I agree. The plantiffs in this case are probably getting bad advice from their lawyers. If UT settles it is the victim of predatory litigation... Guess what they don't have.... They don't have criminal convictions for criminal allegations. The prominent case where CBJ is "involved" is a case where the accused students were dismissed from the team by CBJ. Do they expect him to go farther in the case than that? Is anyone suggesting to add to a coaches responsibilities to investigate criminal allegations? If I were a Judge I would tell them to stop putting the cart before the horse and get the convictions.

I have not seen any excuses. I don't think I am missing the gist of this conflict which predates the present woes heaped upon Ut. Your camels back was broken before this present dustup where CBJ was concerned and I can't help but feel the tension as you all but prevent yourself from illegitimately saying "I told you so". I don't see you reserving judgment on the matter. You are correct that everyone has a right to their opinion but if they want to keep an opinion, ignorant of the facts, the best way to do that is to keep it to ones self. A responsible listener does not just accept the things they are told but questions the veracity of ideas and opinions to which they are subjected. It is a valid assumption that since you have already deemed CBJ a failure while others have not that this present situation would accumulate upon your previous sense to rid Ut of him while you never convinced everyone else of his football incompetence. Before we judge a situation we need to be sure of our own process leading to our conclusions. For whatever reason he is being accused and I think for a very specific moment in time in which he had to take action before he knew the facts because he has not just one students welfare to consider but over a hundred students he is directly responsible for... I can be wrong... I was not there... but there are a lot of others who weren't there who are speaking as though they were. People are hardly ever logical in forming their opinions. I'm trying to be.

It is an assumption that an apology from CBJ automatically incriminates him. You have two children that come to you each blaming the other for breaking your antique Vase... Who do you believe? As long as they are fighting it does not matter. You act to protect both and then do your fact finding. Your position may change as the facts come out... It is STUPID!!!!!, STUPID to expect CBJ to react based upon the facts he did not yet have. People calling for CBJ's job are the ones making the assumptions.

The article in the Tennessean says that Butch apologized to Bowles later that day in which case we may be hyperanalyzing Butch. I can see where he would tell the team to stay away from Bowles in an attempt to prevent further incidents and not as an affront to the kid. How people not present during Butch's discussion of the events with bowles define the events is irrelevant. The kids implicated in the "alleged" assault were summarily dismissed from the team with the charges and who was it that did that? Let's remember this is NOT Bowles suit. He did not bring charges. Maybe he should have. If he did we would see how Butch handled that but we cannot lend the same weight to our imaginations as we do the facts.

My ears are bleeding with this harpy sh$t. She took the money (x3) and agreed to shut up. When is she going to do so? I don't want to trivialize what happened... but she took the money! How long will the media and courts be complicit in blackmailing the man over the same exact event? If it is justice she is concerned with then there were certain steps she could have taken but did NOT.

The reason for the settlement is Ut v Ut; a house divided against itself... The article is strictly hyperbole and the only one that should be raked over the coals by it is the author ("reporter"). I don't know all the details but if it is simply that she got a close up of his danglies then you gotta question her judgment in her choice of electives.
Ok, I've read enough about it now to hope it goes to court. But the two cases should definitely be severed since Ut is not mentioned in her present lawsuit. What has made me conclude that is the referenced affidavits of Peytons former ut teammates. If Peyton impugned her reputation in his book then we are NOT talking about 20 years ago.
