Title: Budget deficit/surplus since 1990
Post by: BanditVol on November 01, 2011, 05:07:00 EDT
Pirate, you claim that we never had any surpluses when W took office.  Not true.  They can be found here, at the White House website:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget/Historicals

You can click on the very first table:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/omb/budget/fy2012/assets/hist01z1.xls

That table does require Excel.  In case you can't read it, here are the budget numbers from 1990 to present, including projections for this year and next:

So notice that from 1998 to 2001, we had surpluses.   You didn't seem to agree with this on Saturday.  What about now?  If you don't agree, I would be interested to find out why.
