Agree. We're not going to build anything sustainable on the backs of transfers that are only here for 1-2 years. Let's do this right.

With the new transfer rules we'll see more and more of this....College now has free agency.

Yes.  I don't agree with paying players other than the scholie, but given all they contribute financially it's the least the NCAA can do is make the transfer rules more fair.

until schools try to encourage kids at one school to transfer to their school. Like the WR McClesky from Oklahoma State. He was pissed he's not getting the ball enough and now he is transferring.

As for Bryant coming to Knoxville, I disagree with the above two post consensus.  Let me start by saying it's highly unlikely he would transfer to UT.

But what if he were here now?  And even if it's a one and done, would it not help us get through this awful year and maybe win a couple more games while JG learns behind him?

The case for next season is less clear, as JG is progressing.  That I admit.

It would be hard to sit JG a year and let Bryant play for only one.  JG might transfer and we would have nothing in 2020.

But if this situation had occurred last year, I would definitely want him.

One rumor is that he might consider Arkansas. Chad Morris recruited him to the tiglets. UF has also been mentioned.

But right now, who knows?

Just a minor blip for the Rat Bastard Tiglets.  They are on a roll right now.  One defection isn't going to make or break them.

And I hate it.

I'll be honest, I'd gladly welcome any OL or DL graduate transfers to this team.. but I don't see the point in taking a QB graduate transfer who only has one year to play, in the context of our current situation.
