I'd rather spend it on a cup of coffee.
I would *almost* rather give it to some Alabama alumnus so he/she could buy their 45th National Championship T-shirt. Almost......

People with that kind of physical ability are rare enough as it is. But players with a good head on their shoulders AND the physical tools are even more rare. It's a shame but it's his own fault. Did Kiffin recruit him, or was that Dooleys first class?
I think that last truly great UT player that had the brains and the brawn was Jason Witten, but that's just my opinion

Love the flags! Thanks! Lyn sent me the UT flag just in time for it to be flown over COP Fortress just before we closed it down. I have all three of the flags shown, plus the 101st Airborne flag the was typically flown as well. Im keeping the US colors, giving the Afghan and 101st flags to two guys that are soon laving our platoon and the UT flag is (hopefully) being presented to the current coaching staff. We'll see how that works out

So Kyrgyzstan is Big Orange Country? It is for next few days. Not home yet, but my deployment is done Now, that's damned good news. Makes my 3 hour layover in Philly, which has turned in to a 3 1/2 hour layover already since my flight to TYS has been delayed already, seem little and insignificant. Can't wait to see you back at Campbell, Mark. Oh, and my son loved Manas, too - on the way home three times, that is. Can't wait to see you Bill. Amye and I are planning on going to the UGA game, so if you don't come here before then, I will see what you're doing then. Safe travels brother

Especially when you are at ORD trying to rearrange a flight schedule to get home several days ealier than expected - and on a Friday. And Kliempesin still sucks. Well, Im happy to be in a huge lay over. Sitting in Manas and will be home on Monday afternoon. Not all layovers are so bad :)

the call for bans on weapons is coming only from those that fear them and know nothing about them. Because of someone else's fear and ignorance, you want to take away everyone else's constitutional rights?
I've carried a REAL assault rifle for more than half my life. Fully automatic ones, even true machine guns, grenade launchers, etc. Trust me when I say this, they don't kill people unless that is the users intent. I don't see why people get so worked up over them, they are great, safe weapons.
I loathe the term "assault rifle". One of the most ignorant terms ever created

Since I'm deployed, I'm going to miss my sons 18th birthday, which is March 10th. Just the thought of it has been making me ill. My wife decided to take him and the rest of the extended family to Nashville for that weekend to celebrate, and one thing that she planned was a Preds game.
I wanted to do something unique for him, so I decided to email the Preds PR department and asked them to announce his birthday or something along those lines. So I just got a reply from their PR department, asking me to send some pictures from here in Afghanistan that they can up on the 'tron between the 1st and 2nd period while they announce his birthday, along with one of the players and some staff members meeting him at his seat to greet him.
I'm speechless. Very honored they would be so gracious for my son. Needless to say, I'm a Preds fan.
If any of you go to the Preds/Wild game on the 9th of March, let me know please

Could be master/slave cylinder, or some seal somewhere that's leaking? If there is no obvious leakage you can see, then I would put money on the slave cyl. Most of the one I've seen are inside the bell housing, so when they leak it coats the flywheel and clutch disk. A slow leak could be well hidden because the heat would/could burn off the fluid before it had a chance to leak from the bell housing. There should be an inspection port on the bell housing. If there is, unbolt it and take a look. With that said, Im not a chevy kinda guy, so I don't know their design, so this advice might not be applicable for you. If you have a leak, it's not too hard to change the slave cyl. In fact, it's not really that hard to change the clutch yourself. I did my first one when I was 17. I didnt have the money to do it myself, so I had to do it myself. I did it in 6 hours or so, but I did have a shop to work in. I say give it a shot

On a note you will be interested in, Mrs. 101st and I are getting ready to go tour this winery: http://www.beachavenwinery.com/ and sample and pick up a few choices. This winery is right across I-24 from the condo my son will be living in until he goes to Career School at Fort Gordon (Augusta, GA) in October. He got back safe and sound from Afghanistan early yesterday morning. Bill, if you get this message before you go, there is a guy that works there that you have to meet. He is an older gentleman by the name of Dutch and I believe that he makes the barrels. He is an old paratrooper that fought in WWII and he is a real hoot. Tell him that a friend of Joe Winder said that you should introduce yourself and he will give you a few stories that you'll reember forever. Enjoy the time with Bill III!

If true He can crash and burn with Lame Kiffin Why? Because he made a decision that he thinks is the best for him and his family and not for WoodstockVol? He's done more for UT than ANY fan has, so you can keep your statements to yourself, they're nothing but sour grapes

I was actually thinking about having another VTTW lake party in 2013, since I am not sure about the tailgates next fall, so it's possible. I also have my high school reunion coming up next summer, so maybe I could make it a 2fer visit. If there is interest in the spring, I'll talk to UT Mom about it. I couldn't make it in the spring, but I would come if it was in late summer....

That said, I did hear from friends in OK who said that Gundy and crew are hot on the recruiting trail and didn't act as if they were going anywhere. We'll know when Hart makes the announcement.
I'm not saying anything close to Gundy i coming to UT and I am not infering so, but even if he does come to UT, then those that he is recruiting probably would too.....
