It was probably my fault. It started a shizzle storm in the Lounge yesterday and it probably sent the server into melt down mode :)

Yeah but I think 9 years is a pretty good run for a half-assed, mongrel server.

I know very little of the $$$ aspect except what Bob tells me . . . he did comment yesterday that we are running low and we will probably have to do one this year.

Yeah but I think 9 years is a pretty good run for a half-assed, mongrel server.

When you built it it was a pretty powerful box. I don't remember how much you guys raised last time but it seems like it was in the > $5000 range... for that kind of money these days you can get an HP or Dell with dual Xeons, a lot of RAM, and RAID 5.

I heard a rumor that the server is fine.  The Heat losing made Mud "accidentally" trip over the power cord.

It's actually Mud's personal laptop and the battery died.
