BDV, this has really nothing to do with your post, but the music reminds of something that happened to me today.

Was sitting in the livingroom when a kid came down the road blaring his stuff. "Why does he want me to turn up the the tv to get past this? Does he think he would enjoy me playing Penny Lane while he is watching the Kardashians or whatever?

Then I started thinking about my Mother who we lost nearly 4yrs ago and her music. When she loved Andy Williams' Moon River, what the hell did she think of the Beatles? So, I looked around for "her song";I found that Elton John does a great version of the Williams song. Made me tear up in a good way.

BTW, at 57 I have hard time with smash music. It's just me. But, I do appreciate the reference point as I have been thinking about my Mother today for some reason. Thanks for reminding me to search that song.

It isn't bad though.

Not my kind of music,   I'm more into the  '40's  '50's

But as one of my memories:   Does any one else remember   Andy Griffiths "What it was was football" ?

     " Accentuate the Positive "

Musically, I usually like to keep it mellow, too.  But when I get to the stadium, I'm usually ready to suit up with the players and knock the crap out of somebody.  I can see this song being played along with some highlights on the jumbotron.
