If you just looked at Mizzou's yardage you'd think they were doing pretty well... That yardage is typical for a half. I guess we have a QB now?

Then I don't begrudge Fulmer for taking that action. I don't see what the fuss is. If the team was functioning properly, a team running the triple option would still be an ill-placed opponent before a game with Florida.

Coaching a QB is a matter of trust. Until the QB trusts what the coach says... You aren't breaking his tendencies. I wonder if when a team is looking for a BMOC they may look to bring in a coach with a player of promise? Maybe a coach that has produced a QB a time or two? I'm sure it's been thought of before and the idea probably has a number of drawbacks. It just seems we are always in this predicament. But of note... it seems the best coaches for Qbs are those who have played the position themselves.

How could one not expect to see what happened tonight? They competed. Usually, what separates the great teams from the good teams is depth (and coaching, and officiating, etc...). I expect to see them in all their games for at least a half. I think they go bowling this year.

Very few vol fans can hold out for three years. The landscape of college football has changed so much. I remember giving Johnny a wide latitude in his results. I have not seen patience in the vols nation since then. Here is what I'm going to do... I'm going to be happy if they compete. They obviously did yesterday since you guys went from criticizing the coaching to criticizing the officiating. I will never be the first person to call for a coach's resignation. I don't have the stomach to continue to go through what we have been.

As always, I hope Bama goes 0-12, but otherwise their players have a positive college experience.
Actually, I'd be good with them going 5-(x) with a big fat 0-1 to UT every year.

Smugly snickering is no way to open a post to UT fans if you want them to reply with anything but their middle digit. Stop dreaming about something that if it could happen it would have already happened. No one is proven until the opportunity to shine presents itself. We have to find a happy medium between proven and potential. I remember when Saban left LSU and I heard a lot of folks say now you will see him crash. He was just lucky at LSU. So, Malzahn is out there... I don't know if he would shine or stumble... but maybe... let's find out?

If the post season ban comes Steele would be the best choice and don't take the interim tag off him until he performs. If he doesn't we make time to search for a replacement who doesn't come in under a ban thus allowing for a better hire.

...Jeff Fisher's Name comes up and I'm getting a huge episode of deja-vu. It comes from the blurb in the report that mentions he is a USC alumnus. Must we get bit a second time? Needless to say, I got queasy when someone mentioned Kiffin.
