I am well on the record against yakking and strutting, but this was ridiculous. The call was stupid and the penalty is much too severe.

As usual, the Pirate is concise and makes the point perfectly! BULL shizzle!!! How anyone can argue is beyond me. Plus, the player's last name is Owens; we must be related! I'm getting his back on this one.

who pointed to the sky after scoring a td and said "This ones for you Dad". His father (a member of the coaching staff) had passed away that summer. He was flagged 15 yards on the ensuing KO for unsportsmanlike. The coach asked him what the did and he told him. The coach said it was OK and they would take 15 every time if he wanted to do it some more. In defense of the official, he wasn't close enough to hear what the player said and it was a new rule that the officials had been told to enforce strictly.

Pure bull crap call is what it is. There was nothing in that that should have been a penalty, NOTHING!
