I may be in attendance to this one....
A buddy of mine is a big Mizzou fan. I was talking with him last Friday and he had forgot that his Tigers were playing the Vols. He has a plane and luvs to fly, so all the sudden he started working the logistics of flying to Columbia and taking me along.... it almost worked out, but we ended up watching it at B-Dubs near the airport where he has a hangar. I'd have to say it was mucho better to watch that debacle with him as opposed to watching it solo at home.
Really? He could have rubbed it in pretty badly lol.
My one experience watching with opposing fans was the year bammer broke the streak...which I think was 2002. I was in an apartment at the time and a couple other single guys from the breezeway came in and watched Vols-bammer with me. They were not kind their in remarks, and (although I know this is silly) I ended up thinking I had jinxed the Vols by watching with the enemy. So I haven't ever done that again.
In that same apartment, I had a slightly different experience where I was watching UT-uga in the early 00's with an Auburn fan. He also hated uga so was rooting for the Vols. But that was the game where Clausen made a lazy handoff on the uga 1 yard line as time expired and there was a fumble that was run back 99 yards. My Auburn friend started laughing and said it was funny. I was NOT amused. In fact, I think later that night I threw him out of my apartment early, didn't want him around anymore.
I guess I am just not one to watch games with anyone except fellow Vol fans.
