…is that they decide their champions on penalty kicks. That’s like Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth dueling to a draw through 72 holes at the Masters, then driving up to Gatlinburg to decide it with a round at Hillbilly Golf.

That said, I’m not at all sad that this particular Team USA lost.

You beat me to it. I didn't see the game, just caught the highlights just now. 

Rapinoe sailed one over the goal during the shootout. She is 38.  She will not play again.

I googled Megan Rapinoe and wouldn't you know it?!? She is from California!  However, don't get too excited boys she is from Redding in Shasta County, which by California standards is pretty dang conservative. They probably don't like her there either.  Other than her name, I don't think I know any other names on the team. Oh well, there is your useless trivia for today.
