GBO. Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Black Diamond Vol on September 05, 2015, 10:06:09 EDT Well, early returns on Foreman are less than glowing. :frown:
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: murfvol on September 05, 2015, 10:17:29 EDT I'll take that. Lotsa guys getting touches.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: murfvol on September 05, 2015, 10:18:21 EDT Also good to see Micah Abernathy in quickly.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Black Diamond Vol on September 05, 2015, 10:23:38 EDT Also good to see Micah Abernathy in quickly. Yeah, but he was beaten on that play. If that WR had better hands, it would've been a TD. Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Black Diamond Vol on September 05, 2015, 10:28:10 EDT Is it just me, or is the T on our helmets slightly smaller than before?
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: murfvol on September 05, 2015, 10:29:14 EDT I think Swafford got beat deep, but I could be mistaken.
Also, Kamara has a nasty stop and start. Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: TheRealOrange on September 05, 2015, 10:34:07 EDT Is it just me, or is the T on our helmets slightly smaller than before? They look smaller to me too. Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Black Diamond Vol on September 05, 2015, 10:38:57 EDT The run blocking looks vastly improved. We had the one pass protection breakdown, but other than that the OL is looking pretty good.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: TheRealOrange on September 05, 2015, 10:39:34 EDT Is it just me, or is the T on our helmets slightly smaller than before? The Jersey numbers look a bit "blockier" too. Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: murfvol on September 05, 2015, 10:40:28 EDT Love going under center in short yardage.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: volsboy on September 05, 2015, 10:41:03 EDT I don't think BGSU is going to cover the spread. Lay it on'em Vols.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Clockwork Orange on September 05, 2015, 10:46:13 EDT Curt looking pretty bad in coverage there.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: volsboy on September 05, 2015, 10:46:30 EDT Damn it, that was no shut down defense.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: VinnieVOL on September 05, 2015, 11:02:52 EDT I am so excited about Hurd/Kamara. Special, special duo.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Black Diamond Vol on September 05, 2015, 11:06:04 EDT Their WRs are pushing off big time on these deep routes.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: murfvol on September 05, 2015, 11:09:11 EDT Moseley toasted twice. Crazy 4th down attempt, but great execution. Hats off to BGSU.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: PirateVOL on September 05, 2015, 11:10:39 EDT 2 things
Big time hold on 4th and 2 Mosley isn't physical enough Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: PirateVOL on September 05, 2015, 11:14:56 EDT Big ass fizzleing clip, directly on BJ field of view
No call :bird: Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Black Diamond Vol on September 05, 2015, 11:15:36 EDT Is Justin Martin out?
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Black Diamond Vol on September 05, 2015, 11:21:28 EDT That was a "reputation" call on Barnett. :banghead:
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Creek Walker on September 05, 2015, 11:25:32 EDT That was a "reputation" call on Barnett. :banghead: Unfortunately he's earned the reputation. It was a bad call but he should've never made contact. There's no need for that garbage. I complained about it last season and was rebuked because you gotta let your aggressive pass-rushers play on the edge of control. How many times will he cost this team dearly before his coaches rein him in? Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: murfvol on September 05, 2015, 11:27:36 EDT Exactly BDV. Barnett has to steer clear.
Sutton is balling, but Martin and Kelly are needed badly, to say nothing of the othets. Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: volsboy on September 05, 2015, 11:32:25 EDT Let's see what Jones can do with X's and O's. He is getting out-coached at this point. This is a good offense BGSU has. But, is it as good as the better offenses in the SEC? If it's not, the defense is going to surprisingly struggle this season. Just one half of football though. We will see.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: VinnieVOL on September 05, 2015, 11:33:06 EDT How much is Willie Martinez's absence affecting us you think? Gotta be a factor, right?
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Creek Walker on September 05, 2015, 11:34:45 EDT How much is Willie Martinez's absence affecting us you think? Gotta be a factor, right? The thought actually crossed my mind that maybe his guys are angry that he was mistreated and are laying down. Wild and crazy idea, and I normally wouldn't even say it out loud, but I'm at a loss to otherwise explain their play thus far. Sutton is holding his own but the rest are flat-out incompetent. Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Black Diamond Vol on September 05, 2015, 11:41:49 EDT The thought actually crossed my mind that maybe his guys are angry that he was mistreated and are laying down. Wild and crazy idea, and I normally wouldn't even say it out loud, but I'm at a loss to otherwise explain their play thus far. Sutton is holding his own but the rest are flat-out incompetent. Just too many injuries. Martin and TK are apparently out, on top Gaulden. And I'm sure Martinez's absence isn't helping, either. Secondary is just under-manned, and they're going to need help from the pass rush. Speaking of the pass rush, I haven't seen KMac or Tuttle yet, either. What's up with that? :dunno: Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: PirateVOL on September 05, 2015, 11:45:19 EDT What was the call the called back Hurd's TD earlier
Can't hear the ref Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: murfvol on September 05, 2015, 11:53:32 EDT Saw Tuttle on BGSU's second FG series, but haven't seen McKenzie.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: PirateVOL on September 05, 2015, 11:54:11 EDT In the middle of the half we were not getting pressure
The last two series we dialed it up Also, one play on their plays two DL recognized screen, covered their lands and still got pressure Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Creek Walker on September 05, 2015, 11:54:25 EDT What was the call the called back Hurd's TD earlier Can't hear the ref Holding on Jennings. Had his guy by the shoulder pad. Title: Opening Day 1st Half haiku Post by: Jethro on September 05, 2015, 11:56:30 EDT Offense looking good
Defense looks a bit porous Cover # 4 Title: More haiku Post by: Jethro on September 06, 2015, 12:04:07 EDT Glad Football is back
liking what I am hearing No more Little John! Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: PirateVOL on September 06, 2015, 12:04:37 EDT Saw Tuttle on BGSU's second FG series, but haven't seen McKenzie. Tuttle 2 series - inconsistentMcKenzie hasn't played to my knowledge Kirkland played well early, seemed to be around the ball more than Jumper but need to watched the film  Title: Re: Opening Day 1st Half haiku Post by: PirateVOL on September 06, 2015, 12:06:09 EDT Offense looking good a couple of thingsDefense looks a bit porous Cover # 4 4 is good using his hands No pressure Darn good passes Mosley has covered the slants well Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: PirateVOL on September 06, 2015, 12:08:26 EDT I can't wait to get to the DVR because Sutton had to have left his man to cover the delay out of the backfield. Then lit him up

About 7 seats away from me Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Black Diamond Vol on September 06, 2015, 12:27:15 EDT We have a Revolver sighting About 7 seats away from me Can he play free safety? Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: PirateVOL on September 06, 2015, 12:46:56 EDT Can he play free safety? no, he didn't cover the last TD to Wolf very well (right in front of him)Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: PirateVOL on September 06, 2015, 12:50:15 EDT Their kicker must be slow as Randolf stepped through the line to make that block
Tuttle played the last defensive series I like the Titan jumbotrons as sitting 5 rows up in the end zone results in vision issues on the far end of the field (cross bar) Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: PirateVOL on September 06, 2015, 12:56:59 EDT What were the unsportsmanlike conduct calls?
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Black Diamond Vol on September 06, 2015, 12:59:52 EDT What were the unsportsmanlike conduct calls? Their coach came on the field and screamed at officials wanting PI on that play in the EZ. Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: VinnieVOL on September 06, 2015, 01:00:12 EDT What were the unsportsmanlike conduct calls? The BGSU coach, I think. Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Creek Walker on September 06, 2015, 01:44:44 EDT Do we know where the remainder of the game will air? SECN has UF/NMSU and the alternate has LSU.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: PirateVOL on September 06, 2015, 01:47:31 EDT You may be stuck with my coverage :rotfl:
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: murfvol on September 06, 2015, 01:50:38 EDT I'm hoping we still get SECN due to the unfortunate margin of our game.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Black Diamond Vol on September 06, 2015, 01:51:25 EDT Do we know where the remainder of the game will air? SECN has UF/NMSU and the alternate has LSU. Crawler says ESPNews at 7:58. Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: murfvol on September 06, 2015, 02:26:07 EDT Medley has been a disaster.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Black Diamond Vol on September 06, 2015, 02:27:47 EDT Medley has been a disaster. Yeah. Too bad, because other than FGs, our special teams have been A++. Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: PirateVOL on September 06, 2015, 02:28:41 EDT Defense has played better
TK has been playing since the break A lot of Vickers at DT Changed the outside guys coverage a bit More blitzes Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Black Diamond Vol on September 06, 2015, 02:30:32 EDT I would still like to know what's going on with KMac.

Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: murfvol on September 06, 2015, 02:44:54 EDT Ifs and Buts, but we have a nice lead, have had 2 TDs called back, and missed 2 FGs.
Good WR blocking BTW. Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: murfvol on September 06, 2015, 02:49:13 EDT McKenzie in

Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: Black Diamond Vol on September 06, 2015, 02:56:14 EDT Kelly looks impressive.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: murfvol on September 06, 2015, 03:01:23 EDT Kelly looks quicker than Kamara, and Dormady seemed poised.
Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: BanditVol on September 06, 2015, 07:09:58 EDT I would still like to know what's going on with KMac. On the radio pregame they said he got nicked up a bit a couple weeks ago and to expect limited pt today Nothing serious I think they are just protecting him frim injury Speaking of which Barnett scared the shizzle out of me in the first quarter. Wr need him healthy Title: Re: BGSU v. Tennessee "In Game" Discussion Post by: murfvol on September 06, 2015, 02:07:32 EDT Thanks again for the game thread TRO! I really enjoyed it.
