And it seems to trickle down to all phases of their game. Once the defense choked up the lead, the guys seemed to hang their head and give up. Their starter had 44 pitches through 2 innings, it looked like he would get run early. But once he got the lead, he cruised from there. Just one non-competitive AB after another.

That’s the hope for us all. This team has shown flashes that would indicate they’re capable of doing just that. But they’ve gotta stop beating themselves.
