Wow, I immediately have much more respect for the guy.  I had pretty much formed an opinion of him,  with his silly antics and all.

Was about to reply with the same statement, Vinnie.

Thanks for posting this BDV. wouldn't have known what a class act that guy is without it.

which is why it's not a good idea to form opinions on people based on some silly antics.

People who act like fools are going to be considered fools. That's pretty much a fact of life.

define "acting like fools". I watch Bolt, and I see a guy having a lot of fun, not acting like a fool.

If I was smoking everyone in the 100m I'd be pretty jovial too. Our own Willie Gault was known to celebrate on the football field and I certainly enjoyed Ron Slay's antics on the court.

IMHO there's a difference between having a good time and taunting. It might be goofy at times, but it's not poor sportsmanship.

When I watch Bolt, I see a tremendous athlete who is still immature at 26. There's a fine line between having fun and disrespecting your competitors in the world's biggest games. Kudos to him for acknowledging our anthem, but I still don't like him.

Don't forget that the IOC ripped Bolt in '08 for his pompous behavior.

Nothing irks me more than an athlete gesturing during a race.
