Franklin wanted to recruit with the big boys; now he's got big boy problems. It probably won't be the last time his players run afoul of the law. The only question is how how much of this stuff Vandy fans are are willing to accept in exchange for a competitive football program. Because like it or not, this is the price of admission. This is the kind of stuff the rest of the SEC has been dealing with for years, while Vandy fans have looked down their noses at us with righteous indignation. Well, welcome to the club, Vandy. Next thing you know, one of your players will be sharing a cell with Aaron Hernandez.
Climer, who I don't really like and who is usually a Vandy apologist, had a column today saying essentially the same thing. Funny, the only comment right now is from a Vandy fan saying how you can't compare this to other SEC schools because the other SEC schools would have still let them play.
