Adams is a columnist; it's his job to have an opinion. Fulmer told the truth, but not the whole truth, and Adams took that high hanging curve and hit it out of the park. That said, we should be smarter than to fall for his schtick, especially at this point in time. For the past 9 months, I've seen a fanbase that has been fractured for nearly a decade start to become united again. Why rehash the past now, less than two weeks before a new era begins? It tells me a lot about Fulmer IMO.....He could have declined an interview and said it's time to move on and support the new coach and the program.....He didn't and it's downright pitiful in my book.

Beat you to the punch. This is my normal Friday off. If I get my way, I will not be working at all after February 2014. I will be enjoying retirement. 40 years is long enough. I need a beer. I did the same back in 2009. Within 6 months you'll say to yourself....How did I work full-time and get all this other stuff done too?!! I will say my yard looks better than it ever has........and my golf game has improved.... A LOT!

Great news!!!
Now...let's hope CCM uses him more than just dribbling while standing out on the point and then throwing it to the wing to fire up a 3 pointer with 3 seconds left on the shot clock.
I like CCM...but he has the players to have a good year and get to the NCAA tourney. If not we need to start looking.

Feel the same way about interstates. The last several years when the wife and me travel we take the back roads and enjoy every minute of it. IMO you miss too much of America driving interstate highways. We are never in a hurry, it takes more time but going through small towns America is like I remember traveling back in the 50's and 60's. Plus, I don't have to do 80MPH with white knuckles worrying about getting my azz run over by semi's and idiot drivers

I'm sure they just looked at last year's score and figured that we can't make up that much ground in one season. But as we all know, the Vandy game is completely dependent on our team's state of mind. Even when they're down, Vandy is going to come into that game sky high. We're their super bowl, and our team has to match their intensity. Last year, our guys had long since mailed it in by November. Hell, half of them were probably trying to get Dooley fired. The result was predictable. If our team had something, anything to play for, the result would have been very different.
And that will Butch's charge this year- make sure his guys' heads and hearts are still in it come November. We're going to go through some hard times before then, but that's the month we can become bowl-eligible as long as our guys don't give up before then.
This team will NOT quit on CBJ....they might get beat...might get hog-stomped....but they will not quit. CBJ will not allow it...Dooley had zero respect from his team and he showed little respect for them in 3 years...and it showed. I wish we would hire Hammy back for 30 minutes and make him watch film of Dooley's cluster fook for 29 minutes.....and then fire his ass on the 31st minute!

Depends if CCM uses his thoroughbreds like plow mules like he is custom to do. Stand around...work the clock down to 3 seconds and fire up a 3.
We have the talent....it's time for CCM to crap or get off the pot. And start the season off much better and not have to fight for our NCAA lives the last 4-6 weeks of the season.

We spent 4 days in New Orleans when we played Miami and I got a total of about 10 hours sleep in those 4 days. I was sick for a week when we got home. Went back when we played Va. and I learned my lesson from the last trip. Got more sleep and I would agree that stay wasn't as much fun as the UT-Miami trip.
Halftime of the Miami game I went to the restroom and there must have been 50 UT fans packed in there and 1 (one) lone Miami fan. One semi-drunk UT fan asked the lone Miami fan...." Did all you Miami fans come to New Orleans together in a Volkswagen bus?" It broke the whole restroom up...the Miami fan zipped up and walked out without saying a word.

The nail in Fulmer's coffin was the day Bama hired Saban. Fulmer's saving grace was he had a good record against the Crimson Turds. That all came crashing down when Saban arrived.
The coffin was covered with dirt when 30,000 plus Bama fans sang in Neyland.
