Title: So a guy gets caught on video beatng someone unconscious...

...and 3 months later, he's the MVP of a New Years Day bowl game.  How lucky is Jeremy Hill that his teammates searched their souls and found it in their hearts to vote him back on the team?

its not like he shot the President

I think we should submit the return of Peyton as QB to a vote of the team

Our fan base would have being calling for Miles' head....We want to be great but we want to be Boy Scouts doing it. Our fan base went bat-sheet crazy when Kiffin was committing secondary violation. Believe he committed 10 when Georgia had 24.

Not condoning what he did but crap happens....Seems we had a player beat the crap out of someone in a pickup bb game when Fulmer was coaching among other things with other players. He still played and we won games.

Our fan base would've condoned it and made every excuse in the world for Miles. And, sadly, I would've probably found it in myself to have forgiven him, too. That's what sucks about sports fandom. We're too easily persuaded to support throwing precious resources at thugs who should be in jail. This should not be a win-at-any-cost game. That's the road we've been headed down for some time now and the final destination isn't pretty. Just ask the kids who Jerry Sandusky molested who might've otherwise been protected if college football wasn't placed on a pedestal above accountability and moral decency. Or perhaps Mr. Hernandez's latest murder victim.

I made a statement last year that it was okay as long as they beat bammer.    But I was joking....he should not be allowed to play.  It's pretty ridiculous.  :frown:

Forgiveness isn't the issue.  We should all forgive, but issues shouldn't be forgotten to the point that they are accepted as the norm.

Being accountable and paying the penalty is the issue.

It's Les Miles we're talking about, he knows he wins because he out-talents people. He's not going to piss on that
