I thought Bray did make a few plays against pressure vs. UGA that he did not make vs. UF, but I freely admit that I did not closely monitor it.
I think that is definitely part of it, but I can think of a few times that Bray was not pressured and still missed Hunter.
They definitely need to work on timing, IMO.
I read a book about Knute Rockne when I was a kid, and as you may know, he was the first person to really use the forward pass effectively - as a quarterback, not a coach:
http://espn.go.com/page2/s/caple/020816.htmlHistory was made here, right on this sandy beach along Lake Erie, if only we could find the spot. While working as lifeguards here nine decades ago, Knute Rockne and Gus Dorais forever changed the way football is played when they developed the forward pass on the beach.Using that experience, they upset Army, a big power at the time, and Knute went on to become one of the greatest coaches of all time. In fact, Notre Dame's tradition started with that game.
Anyway, I think about all the time Peyton used to spend in the off-season with his receivers on timing, and I think, that must be a really critical, maybe the most critical, thing about a passing attack: are the receivers and QB on the same page?
Ours clearly are not yet on the same page. Did they work on this during the bye week? I hope so!
I will definitely be watching this Saturday.
