From an article:

Will you talk about the speculation you will be retiring at the end of the year?

"I just think it’s normal anytime that a coach that has coached as long as I have starts to struggle and things start going downhill that kind of thing starts. That’s just where we are right now."

What are the chances this is your last game in The Swamp?

"I will defer to what I said last week. It’s our plan to be back and we will go from there."

Sounds like he is in for next season for sure, but that might be the last.  He will be 70 next year, so why not hang it up?

That's how it sounds anyway.  I suspect he's going to give it one more year, and if things go really well he may stay, but that's just MO.

Right now, he's putting together what may be USC's best recruiting class ever.  I don't know if we're in on any of those guys, but it sure seems like now would be a prime time to poach a few of them.

I don't follow recruiting that closely but isn't our ledger pretty full right now?

If someone better than what you already have wants to hop on board, you take them and persuade one of your current commits to look elsewhere.  That may not be cool, but that's the new reality of SEC recruiting in the age of Saban.  You either get ruthless in recruiting or get left behind (see Derek Dooley).
