Passed by FR (& converted QB as he was Jennings' sub) and apparently unwilling to work to challenge for additional PT

He wasn't getting many touches?   We have other WR.  I wish him well.

He's only had four catches since the Appy St game. I expected great things out of him, but we apparently won't miss him much.

Williams will forever be mentioned in the same breath with Brian Darden and OJ Owens.

And that's not a good thing.

Surprised he'd leave in the middle of the season.  He wasn't getting it done at UT, but I still think he can be a great one if the lightbulb ever comes on for him.  I hope we don't end up facing him in the next few years.

Well, if he goes the juco route he would have 2 to play 2
if he goes to another D1 school he sits a year for his 2
I suspect there will be limitations on his potential landing spots.  He's leaving his team in mid season, won't go down well for Butch

Probably means Johnson (though to date he has been backing up Malone) and Callaway will get more PT.  Also I suspect that with the emergence of Byrd at slot that Smith could move back outside as well, to back up Jennings.

You could also see Croom and Kamara splitting wide more often

Bottom line is our WR rotation is now:
Malone
Jennings
Smith
Byrd
Johnson
Callaway

Perfect example of a high star kid thinking he should be the star without working for it....Leaves in the middle of the season....leaves his teammates the week of Bama. Tells you all you need to know.

I saw a tweet that Johnson and Callaway were on VOL Calls tonight, before the news broke

Yep that is correct.

Paul Fortenberry:

I don't think Tennessee fought too hard to keep him on the team. Hasn't exactly been the hardest worker and best teammate this season.

Agreed. Not a good guy to have in the locker room, either.

Jennings (who beat him out for the position) apparently wasn't shy calling him out on instagram

You can tell these guys didn't come to UT to play school. They come to play football. Then they wonder why they are screwed if they can't make it in sports.

Can you imagine if that movie came out today?  It never would've made it past the MPAA.  The PC police would've shut it down in an instant.
