…that took a weird bounce and got between our outfielders was the difference today. Dumb fizzleing luck.

These teams are practically equal. We’ll probably see them again this year, and maybe not just in Hoover.

Went toe to toe with the best team in the country and all 3 games were decided by 1 run.....Final 3 game series score was Ark 18....UT 17.

2 errors hurt us today and untimely hits....we had 5 runners in scoring position and couldn't get them in. Big difference was their bullpen is just better than ours....We get a couple of big time bullpen pitchers and we will be in the elite status.

The good news: UF lost today. MSU dropped 2 of 3 to Mizzou(!). Vandy is on the verge of losing 2 of 3 to OM (down 10-3 right now). So we didn’t lose much ground on our main competition this weekend.

Assuming Vandy loses today, they’ll remain 1/2 game back. Assume they sweep UK next week, and that means we have to sweep SC to win the East. Unlikely, but not impossible.

Hard for me to complain about that, when our winning rally starter yesterday was a bloop that Pavalony hit so badly that he thought it was a foul ball in the stands behind the plate.

Those things have a way or evening themselves out.
