Besides seeing a lot of posts from the likes of ReVOLver, Clocky, and others it reminds me of the current situation

Oh, and 'nut Vinny were posting a lot more back in those wonderful days when drools was ruining the programme and ReVOLver and I were at each other's throats (well, we disagreed)

What do you mean by "go to the index"?  Clicking the index icon at the top of the page takes one to the general index, which is not useful.

Ha, yeah a lot of interesting reading there.  That was early in the season.  To think that in 2011, Dooley's last season, fans were really butt hurt by a 21 point win over Akron.  Oh how the times have changed, and not for the better!  (Disclaimer....Butch did put together two decent seasons and three consecutive bowl wins, so it did get better for a time).

Having said that, UT needs to take a pledge NOW, to never, ever, again, under any circumstances, hire any bammer defensive coach for any reason.

We now know that if Sunseri had not been the DC in 2011, that team would likely have gone 8-4 and to a bowl, and maybe even better.

On the flip side, that would have meant another year for Dooley, so...

Speaking of Dooley, you know how some, a la muschamp, are lifetime coordinators and not HC material?  Well I used to say that Dooley was a cut lower.  A lifetime position coach and not even coordinator material. I am probably going to have to change my tune.  He has done well with Bryant at Mizzou so far.

Having said that, it's early in the season and it's still Dooley, so I am still hoping he eventually stinks it up. It's not like Mizzou has played even a decent defense yet.  But so far it looks like, unfortunately, Dooley is a good OC.

Back on the bammer defensive coach thing...needs to be part of the University charter!  "The University will NOT, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, hire a member of the Alabama defensive staff for ANY REASON, EVER!"

we're not uga

Furthermore, and this is my usual going against the grain, Mr. Go-for-it-on-fourth-down-from-your-own-50-with-a-minute-and-a-half-left ain't looking so hot this season so far.  Might make a real interesting playoff game if uga makes it hat far.uy who almost, but did not, get Uga to the top.

He should have beaten bammer the last two years in a row, no question. Two epic choke jobs back to back.  Real interesting to see how it plays out.

And let me add, that it may well be that Justin Fields >>> Frommes at season's end, which would call his judgement into question.  Might make a real interesting playoff game at the end of the year.
