Could have had Patterson after Fulmer. He interviewed and was interested. Another of Hamilton's parting gifts.

If Patterson wanted to leave TCU, he could've done so at any time over the past 15 years, and for some top-shelf jobs, too.  Either he really loves it there, or someone in Ft. Worth has some incriminating photos of him.

If either of those guys is a candidate at UT this time around, it would be Matt Campbell.
