If you don't have high speed internet at a reasonable cost, streaming is a no go. And you better not have a data cap if you want 4K HDTV.

I think AD White got several not interested replies when the search committee asked if the person contacted was interested in the job of HC. Thus a 3rd party can ask and be rejected without the AD offering the job. So the AD can truthfully say I only offered one person the HC position. Plausible deniability. 

Regardless, UT was never going to hire the big ticket HC some of the fans always clamor for. UT was never going to offer a HC with a NCAA record of sanctions. That is, Freeze was never going to be offered. It appears the search committee contacted plenty of candidates that said No Thanks and several that used the interest to get more money and/or time.

Like many others here, my advise is to stop whining about any hire. If it is not your decision, you have no right to say is is a bad hire. Would I have liked another coaching hire. Maybe. I do not know if it was good or not.

Not every player practices well. I hear many coaches and former players that swear by "you play like you practice". I never adhered to that or believed that was always true.
I believe that some players are game day players that may or may not be the best in practice. I do know that if you do not play well on Friday or Saturday, it will be the Coach that gets fired.
It should be obvious to all that JG is at his best in practice and forgets how to apply that during the game. If he is the best player for the job, then Pruitt needs a new job.

As much as I would like to see football this fall, I think all Power 5 conferences will delay until spring. How much will it cost them to start play and then put the games on hold?

Since the SEC worships the almighty dollar ($), I expect the league to try to play at a reduced income level. When you live beyond your means and always expect the money to keep flowing in at an increasing rate and that the money flow stops or is curtailed, maybe you over committed your assets.

If the SEC Presidents actually listen to real medical experts and not their lackeys telling them what they want to hear, they will delay or limit the number of games. Experience with what has happened with states opening back up before the virus has slowed down the spread and relying on common sense and the responsibility of loving your neighbor to contain it just spreads it further and causes death and financial ruin.

This virus does not care about your politics, it does not care how invincible you think you are, or how much your love tradition, it will infect you and may kill you or a loved one. If money is your God, by all means play football and pray your luck holds out. Ignoring the illness will not make it go away. You can have the best of plans and intentions and still fail. The SEC schools are in the heart of this disease and trying to act like you can have a contact sport and not make people sick is folly. Why spend money starting up to only be shut down again?

As much as I would like to see CFB this fall, I just cannot see college age kids not gathering together to party down ans spreading the virus. It has already happened and will continue to happen. I just think it is inevitable that the teams spread it among each other and to other players. Too many chances and individuals to stop it. I would rather they call it off now before some young man get sick, spread it to another younger or older person, and it runs rampant. The Marlins are a beacon showing what can and most likely will happen on a team. And these are supposed to be responsible adults. Humans cannot be trusted to act responsibly as history has shone.

If..and a big if...the NCAA allows football this fall, I just cannot see the big crowds in the stands for a full season. A large part of the crowd that buys season tickets are part of the vulnerable age and compromised systems that are susceptible to the virus. The reason the virus has not stampeded thru the population is that a lot of old folks (like me) have stayed in and limited our exposure to the general public. If local governments and universities allow large crowds to gather outside stadiums, they will open themselves up to a lot of lawsuits.

Do I want to see games? Yes. Do I want a crowd of fans crowded into close quarters screaming and yelling, spreading the virus to all around? No.

I think the only way to limits fans is by lottery pick with no money changing hands. If you pit the rich, well-heeled fan against the poor, it will drive resentment toward the AD and university/college. Better to wait until spring when a treatment may be available.

To those people that say the suspension was too much because "Well he dropped the chair and did not swing at anyone." He did pick up the chair and advanced toward the fight with it raised. Pull out a gun at a fight and see what you can be charged with. He should never be allowed on a NCAA court again. It was the Big12 that gave him the 12 game ban. The NCAA needs to step in and say sit him for this year. Anyone but a Kansas player or one of the NCAA moneymaker darlings would be gone.

From appearances, the Miss State fan base turned against Morehead because he was from the North and not the South. Right or wrong, good or bad, if the fans stop supporting the team, the AD and power brokers will take note. Don't know if they can find better, but it will take more than two years to replace show progress.

When the NBA decided to allow players 4 or more steps to dunk fro 3 second line, they lost me. 1 - 1/2 steps is fine, This stop dribbling or palming the ball at half court for the spectacular jam is not basketball.It is a dunking contest. JMO

Right now, I THINK Florida Gators are playing better than UGA. As bad as LSU D played earlier, I THINK the UGA offense is infinitely worse than LSU D. I THINK LSU will run up the score big time on UGA. I THINK UGA will be playing catch up all game.

The FSU situation just shows that the Athletic Club can raise $20M to pay the bills if asked. My understanding is FSU had to pay the rest of the contract in full upon the firing. UT needs alumni that has that much money to give away to solve its seemingly yearly money crises.

Creativity and new material is not the problem. The money providers will not finance any project they fear will lose money. The remakes have been blockbusters so that is what you get for their money. That or they only finance losers because they want the tax write-off.
