I don't think it's a head scratcher. He was a Nebraska signee last year, had an offer from Oklahoma then and again this year, had an Auburn offer this year and had just picked up another from Oklahoma State. And, very importantly, he's an early enrollee.

It's only surprising because we have so few spots left, but the coaches clearly wanted more DL.

Yep.  Being an early enrollee seals the deal.  Got to have DL in the off season S&C program and in spring practice.

I was thinking the same thing, then I looked at how our DL has played the last two games...AND oh yeah, all the starters are seniors.  It makes A LOT of sense to me that we would add a DL, esp one that could perhaps step in right away.  We don't have that many in the current class.
