Their reserves are better than our starters at many positions, so we were always going to wear down. But if we could've just punched that one on in at the end of the first half when we missed a FG and left them enough time to get back down the field. Being up 21-20 at the half would've been huge. Just like at UF, I don't think the game was really as lopsided as the score indicated. Now let's see what happens against Mississippi State. If we don't at least give ourselves to win late 4th quarter, I'll be sorely disappointed.

Hated the missed opportunity at end of first half and fumble in 4th quarter, game was closer than final score would indicate.

Execution was a lot better. UGA just had a lot more horses to go 4 quarters than we did and a qb that is much farther along than ours but Maurer showed up ready to play. Other than bama,I think the rest of the games have a 50/50 shot.. Go Vols! :powert:

Yeah, that was frustrating for me. On another board, I picked the score in a contest to be 34-20 uga, and with us down 36-14 with about five minutes left and driving very effectively, looked like we would get a garbage TD to hit very close to that score. Then came the fumble and TD return. :rant: It's one of those weird things. This game has seen more long fumble returns for TDs over the years than just about all our other games combined. Very strange, but it keeps happening. :wtf: |
