...be sure to watch tonight's Sportscenter, win or lose.  McRae just threw down the dunk of the year.

They still can't finish in tight games.  Unfortunately, it's become a hallmark of Cuonzo's teams.

We had a chance at about the 5:00 mark to go up by one but Stokes missed both ends of a two shot foul then somebody missed a breakaway dunk, and from that point on we just went through the motions.

Basketball savvy=Florida...... When it comes to nut-cutten time they've been there done that and won.

UT savvy= missed dunks, missed free throws, turnovers, missed layups and numerous turnovers.

That is because CCM is not a good offensive coach. We go into a funk and run terrible offense down the stretch. Maymon also killed us with missing a wide open shot and turning it over late

Maymon was a liability on the offensive end. Made some good loose ball hustle plays on the defensive end but his play on offense was just wretched.

That stretch from about the 9:00 mark to the 5:00 mark was just painful to watch. Vols played great D but offense was abysmal. Every forced Florida turnover would lead to an unforced error, missed dunk, etc. etc.

I'm so over the Cuonzo era.

I saw the last 12 minutes...the color guy remarked that Florida was doing a good job of getting Tennessee to always take tough, contested shots.  As if their guys had really scouted us well and knew our tendencies and denied us easy baskets.  Sounds about right for a veteran Billy-Donovan-coached team.

But...you know, it seems like we could ADJUST and find a way to get easy shots?  Ya think?!?!!?

The only positive I take away from the game is that we were in position to win at the end, and if we can hang with Florida, we can hang with anyone (in the SEC at least).  And yeah, I know, since when have we finished?  But it's time for the patented late surge, and we have a slightly better record this year than last.  If we only drop one more game, we can make it IMO.
