Who gives a rip? BMS decides to dump a bunch of confetti. So what? Was our team supposed to go hide in the locker room and not celebrate?

I don't have a problem with our rivals laughing it up. I'd do the same if it were one of them. But some fans of other schools who are posting these memes on Facebook have made me chuckle. Like the Kentucky fan who was gleefully posting all the memes. Kentucky!!

I also think it's interesting, for lack of a better word, that a lot of our opponents are showing their ignorance by posting memes with the BaB trophy. As if that's the only trophy that's awarded for a regular season game. Several of the memes have actually stated something to that effect.

Apparently they're forgetting the Golden Hat that is awarded to the winner of Oklahoma/Texas, or the Jeweled Shillelagh (USC/Notre Dame), the Floyd of Rosedale (Minnesota/Iowa), the Victory Bell, the Old Oaken Bucket, the Bronze Boot, the Stanford Axe, the Territorial Cup, the Golden Egg, the Fremont Cannon, the Paul Bunyan Trophy (Michigan/Michigan State), the Wagon Wheel, the Old Brass Spittoon, the Silver Spade, the Legends Trophy, the Governor's Cup (which is awarded in several different states between the winners of the land-grant school rivalries), the Milk Can, or the Iron Skillet...need I go on? Hell, Notre Dame gets a ceremonial trophy for almost every regular season game they play. A little perspective would do these internet doofuses nicely.

From what I am hearing, recruits liked it bunches. And isn't that what some of this is all about? Getting the best of the best (dare I say, the 1% of the 1%) to want to come to your school based on exposure, TV time, and big events such as this? Let the memes fall where they may. In the end, if you guys get top talent, you can take them and put the memes on their helmets as they bulldoze the competition.

There's not one other SEC that wouldn't have wanted to play in that game with the hype, promo's for weeks and almost 157,000 fans there. If they said otherwise they would be lying out their teeth.

The frakking BEER BARREL!

(Oh my.  I hope I didn't drive any impressionable college kids to drink just at the mere mention.)

I NEVER had a single beer while I was underage and on campus ..

You weren't EVER underage.  You were already old when you were young.

And the drinking age was 18 back then, so it was a totally different world.

Yep.   And besides, it was the highest attendance in history, which is pretty cool.  Not that it justifies the confetti, etc, but it does feel good as a fan. To me at least, but I guess the OP troll is just a bitter old man.
