C'mon, it was only 72 players - it's not like they're all in on it!

This is that story of college recruiting and big time programs that I thought could exist but never really believed it could be as blatant and rampant as this story.  As I was reading it, I almost did not want to know. It definately puts the NCAA in a tight spot.  Anything short of the death penalty and I think you give other programs a green light to keep pushing the recruiting and booster involvement boundaries if there are any left.

Also, Cam must be really kicking himself for not going to the U.  He would not have needed to steal that laptop.   He would have had about 10 at the U it appears.

According to the ESPN article it was alleged that there was cash, cars, jewelry, access to yachts, nightclubs, restaraunts, prostitutes and he even paid for an abortion. Sounds like a one-stop shop.  :wow:

Please, oh please, let Drew Rosenhaus be invovled somehow.

For those who like me are trying to figure out what all this talk about Miami is, here is the Yahoo Sports scoop: http://sports.yahoo.com/investigations/news;_ylt=Ak5vqhKfzYL.B6MgSuH3NWs5nYcB?slug=cr-renegade_miami_booster_details_illicit_benefits_081611 (http://sports.yahoo.com/investigations/news;_ylt=Ak5vqhKfzYL.B6MgSuH3NWs5nYcB?slug=cr-renegade_miami_booster_details_illicit_benefits_081611)

What gets me is they did all this, and still weren't very good.   :loco:

Miami is in deep doo-doo. Very deep doo-doo.

And at least Yahoo! Sports did some research into this before putting the article out. Good on them for some half-way decent investigative journalism.

Yahoo Sports is just about the only credible national sports news outlet left, thanks to Wetzel and Robinson. Those guys are top notch. I hope UT is never in their path because they will uncover it all and report what they can prove. They are not racing to be first like everybody else.

Apparently Wetzel was asked today if Yahoo was investigating other college programs.  His response "We are done for this week."

One of the most interesting points in the article was Shapiro's near fight in the press box with the compliance director. That's kind of shocking.
