I’m simply asking if Heupel is really making this year happen with players that have simply bought into his system.  I mean, we aren’t loaded with 5 star recruits.

My take is we are over achieving but I'll take it.

On offense we are probably playing at par (the exception is the OL which is playing better than expected (by me anyway))
On defense we are exceeding expectations to date IMO

Can we maintain it?
Don't know, we are VERY thin and injuries (or suspensions) could, with some position exceptions, wreck us very easily
We came very close to losing Hooker Saturday - watched the 1st half last night and he WAS hurt by that hit.  Fortunately my take in the stadium was wrong and he took it below the ribcage but I bet he is sore as hell today from that hit

One thing I do know is the staff can flat coach them up!

One thing that I do know, I'm riding this train as far as it will go!

As long as we don't collapse a la 2016, and we won't because that was a team chemistry issue, it's all gravy for me. We are playing with house money at this point. The offense is legit. The D just needs more players imo. We should just go have fun Saturday, and play loose. There is absolutely nothing to lose!
