1. This team did not quit. In times past the Vols would have rolled over and played dead. Not TEAM 117!
2. This coaching staff coaches and makes adjustments during the game at at half time. The previous staff didn't appear to make any half time adjustments and had no answer during the game against upper eschelon teams.
And perhaps the most important:
3. The fans. At the end of the game Verne Lundquist stated that the Tennessee fans are still here, standing and cheering. Let me say that again the Vols fans were standing and cheering for their team! All we want as fans (realistic fans anyway) is to see improvement and I do believe we are seeing that I thought there was improvement in areas in every game the Vols have played. Fans standing and cheering, I would think does two things. First, it shows great appreciation for our players, tells them we are proud of their effort and we love em'. Secondly, it speaks volumns to any prospect that was at the game. This is always a good thing. IT shows togetherness and respect. The players feed off the fans, why do you think the defense raises their hands for us to make noise? To make it hard for the offense to hear, yes, but they do feed off it!
To any Vol fan and Volunteer player I say keep it up, show the world our true colors, Orange, White and Smokey Gray!!! GO VOLS!!! Go TEAM 117!!!

I think the standing O given to the team as they left the field Saturday night summarizes your post.

All men dream: but not equally.
Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.
