Title: Waiting for the 4th Post by: PirateVOL on November 29, 2012, 05:24:31 EST Gruden mania wave
Just as soon as the rip tide from the 3rd wave subsides  :dunno: Title: Re: Waiting for the 4th Post by: SmokeyJoe on November 29, 2012, 06:06:10 EST I don't think it's over. I hope it is him. Hyams announcement yesterday sounded like spin to me. For whatever reason it appears they may be buying time. Maybe it has to do with the recruiting dead period @ Grudens MNF obligations. :dunno:

Got your surf board ready? Title: Re: Waiting for the 4th Post by: PirateVOL on November 30, 2012, 02:43:25 EST The editor of the Daily Beacon just predicted on twitter that something big is going down tomorrow. No matter if you like him or not. Title: Re: Waiting for the 4th Post by: PirateVOL on November 30, 2012, 03:12:40 EST If Gruden is hired, you gotta be impressed. No matter if you like him or not. Rucker won't be high on Lyn's list after his article tonightTitle: Re: Waiting for the 4th Post by: Creek Walker on November 30, 2012, 03:13:46 EST Rucker isn't saying anything that Hyams, Hubbs, et al, haven't already said. Either they're right or every stinkin' one of them is dead wrong.
Title: Re: Waiting for the 4th Post by: PirateVOL on November 30, 2012, 03:24:09 EST Rucker isn't saying anything that Hyams, Hubbs, et al, haven't already said. Either they're right or every stinkin' one of them is dead wrong. Hyams has been shotgunning while Hubbs has been typical, reserved Hubbs. I believe that Fisher is the "leader in the clubhouse" (to mix a couple of posts tonight) but Gundy could be the wild card. I think that Fisher probably fits the Hart HC coach structure that he laid out the best but I am intrigued by the possiblility of Gundy. The problem with both is they would need to hire a really good, strong DC. The above being said, as I noted in my post a couple of days ago, I would prefer a defensive minded coach who possibly could retain most, if not all the existing offesive staff (which I think is very good in the balance). Title: Re: Waiting for the 4th Post by: Creek Walker on November 30, 2012, 03:33:35 EST I just can't see UT pulling Gundy. He's an OklaSt guy to the core, he's making $3.75m, he has a $3m buyout and T. Boone Pickens has deeper pockets than any booster in Tennessee.

OTOH there are apparently a number of coaches in the Big "pick-a-number" who are tired of the elephant in the conference. If we are talking the Big "pick-a-number" conference give me Patterson and call it a day Title: Re: Waiting for the 4th Post by: Creek Walker on November 30, 2012, 03:45:23 EST I'm starting to wonder about Patterson. Why has the talk on him gone so quiet so suddenly? If Hart is truly pulling Hyams & Co. around by the short hair as so many people claim, that might explain why.
