I'm happy they're doing well, but I can't shake this feeling that Tyndall is just an interim coach. I won't consider him "ours" until he's free and clear of this NCAA crap. And from what I've heard, that just might not happen. If he does well here, I'm sure Emmert and co. will take great delight in dropping the other shoe.
If the Southern Miss allegations are substantiated, and Tyndall is implicated in that mess, I think UT has to fire him. How can we afford to keep a guy who has landed both of his two previous schools on probation...and what sort of message does it send for the integrity of college athletics (not that there is much integrity left) if we do?
And that's a freakin' shame. I am probably a candidate for president of the East Tennessee chapter of the Bruce Pearl fan club, but I don't think Pearl could've done what Tyndall is doing right now with the talent he has. The curse continues (close your eyes on this last sentence, Vinnie
