on Wednesday August 23rd. Purple and Lavender was her favorite colors and it was amazing at how many people just showed up in something with purple or lavender. I do believe things happen for a reason. Mom passed way 8 days before her 73rd birthday, which was this past Saturday. No matter where I went, what I did, or what I was watching, those colors turned up We buried her with a knitted blanket in purple, lavender and white. I was watching a TV show that had a blanket on it in the exact same color scheme and design in the scene. Low and behold, I get to work today and after we had finished a class I was taking them from one building to another when a Weiner dog just showed up at the school doors and walked right up to me. Mom had a weiner dog that died 3 years ago. I told my principle that if she'd let me I'd take the dog home right now. She let me and I did. I believe mom was talking to me Saturday and today and I welcome it. I lost my dad in 2005 and we were really close and losing him hurt bad. But I'm telling you that losing your mother is a whole new level of pain. Anyone who still have parents living should spend all the time you can with them and don't make excuses like I did sometimes, because if you don't you're gonna play that coulda-woulda-shoulda game. You'll do it anyway, but the point is, spend time with them, and alot of it.  Below is the play list of songs that my sisters and I put together for moms funeral music. If you're so inclined feel free to look em' up on youtube.

to be there. My evil stepmother buried him the day after he died and I could not make there in time. My dad and I had our problems, but I see myself in him more everyday. He was the greatest Duck hunter and Lab Trainer I ever knew and taught me all sorts of things my whole life. He did 3 combat tours in Vietnam when he only had to do one. I never realized why he did the 2nd and third until after he died and I got phone calls from some of his old war buddies. I now have a treasure trove of stories of the exploits of my dad not in uniform, but for the CIA's Air America in Laos and Cambodia. He had no ID, Uniform or Dog Tags. Those guys pushed the envelope kept their mouth shut. I wish he would have told me more. I know he worried about me at times, but he never showed it.

I am glad your mom got the send off she deserved and you will be in my prayers.

My thoughts are with you buddy.  I am truly so very sorry... I dread this experience in my own life so very much.  I will hug my mama hard tonight.
