We're in, as long as we get to Hoover, and that's pretty much assured already. In 2019 it took 8 SEC wins to get to Hoover. We are already at 10. Even with a loss today, we shouldn’t drop more than 3-4 spots. I would think we’re pretty solidly in the top 16, unless there are other factors at play (stadium capacity, TV ratings, etc.). Had we won the Vandy series it would have been hard for the NCAA to pass up UT based solely on play on the field. Now we'll have to have a great financial bid and prove we can meet covid protocols with the facilities we have. And we can still be a top 16 seed and not host. No guarantees at this point. |
