If you throw it, you throw it to the back corner and make sure that only your guy has a chance to catch it. Just unbelievable to me that any coach, in that situation, would call that play. I guess that's why I am not a football coach.

Here's what I think....I've seen calls like that work before because the other team is not expecting it. So I can see doing that if it was the end of the half. But not in this situation..... That's where everyone is going to be in this situation. If you're gonna throw it, make it play action to the outside. The inside pass could also have been deflected and picked.
