LOL...weak.  But I guess that's one way to avoid having to hire seat-fillers.

Yeah...Oregon/UCLA. That's a conference championship game that inspires anticipation.

So the Big Ten can't sell out their title game...the Pac-10 has to have theirs on Friday night so it isn't overshadowed by the Saturday conference title games...the Big 12 is dropping their championship game.

Maybe those folks were right 20 years ago when they said conference championship games won't work. Maybe they only work in the SEC.

Why wouldn't they play it in Vegas?  It's in their territory (if not an actual Pac 12 state) it's the greatest destination city in America, and even though their fans don't travel very well, Sam Boyd Stadium is still small enough that it would be close to a sellout.

This is gonna be a serious beatdown.  But Gus fizzleing Johnson is calling the action, so even when it's 63-7 in the 3rd quarter, it'll still sound like the most exciting game ever played.
