But the Braves are already saddled with two of the worst contracts (to this point) in MLB, and Gattis isn't even arbitration-eligible for another three years. It would be fiscally irresponsible to pick up an 8 figure option on another catcher. Maybe if the Braves still had money to burn like they did in the Ted Turner days they could keep him, but not anymore. :bawl:
