I don't know how much credit to put into that Sports By Brooks guy but when you produce documents and photos, how can you not at least publically send an NCAA guy down to Bama?  Is that not what the NCAA uses for evidence these days?  A photo seemed to work against Bruce pretty well.

After seeing what Arkansas State did to them, anything is possible when it comes to Memphis State football.

There are a few places left in college football that I would not expect this to happen.   Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Penn State, and Michigan quickly come to mind.  Black jerseys are one thing, what some company has done to Georgia's helmet is something else.  Wow. 

Apparently Wetzel was asked today if Yahoo was investigating other college programs.  His response "We are done for this week."

Also, Cam must be really kicking himself for not going to the U.  He would not have needed to steal that laptop.   He would have had about 10 at the U it appears.

This is that story of college recruiting and big time programs that I thought could exist but never really believed it could be as blatant and rampant as this story.  As I was reading it, I almost did not want to know. It definately puts the NCAA in a tight spot.  Anything short of the death penalty and I think you give other programs a green light to keep pushing the recruiting and booster involvement boundaries if there are any left.

Does this make a University think twice now about firing a HC over NCAA sanctions?  If the HC leaves, usually the program is set back a few years and the APR score suffer because of it with students leaving the program.  This will be one huge mess.

I like to see the recruiting pick up.  I hope it is a good sign that UT has gotten a comfortable idea of what is coming from the NCAA.

I always thought the basketball series was tied directly to the football series.  If the basketball series was cancelled, what would keep UT from scheduling a game in Memphis that did not require them to play Memphis State?  Similiar to what UT has done in Nashville in the past.  Who controls the Fed Ex Forum?
