To me, this is a huge point in the situation for the Vandy AD & Administration.  They can take the Urban Meyer approach and Boyd is catching passes Saturday, well at least at the start of the 2nd quarter, or they can go the route that they seem to pride themselves on over on West End.  Will be interesting to see where the school goes with this now that the details from the 1st court appearance is now public.

Prayers to the young lady that has to suffer through the details of this stuff in the media now.  

People with those arguments just need to move on.  We made the plays when they were there to be made.  WKU did not.  Typically that is how a team wins a football game.

I think he is showing up the NCAA with that money gesture after TD's. little punk obviously is guilty but gets off due to his status. Really hope he gets the karma that is due to him and soon this season.

I am embarrassed for the NCAA.  Why make that statement? 30 minutes of a meaningless game that A&M can win without him playing?  Somebody needs to hit the reset button at the NCAA HQ.

I don't live in Knoxville so I am only interested in the sports coverage.  Now that they are charging, guess I just need to compare against other paysites for what they offer. 

I understand why they are doing it but don't like the amount they are charging.  Wish they had a "weekend" only option for on-line subscriptions.  I hardly ever read the online articles M-Th anyway.

Thanks for all the advice.  I think we will end up with either the Nextbook or the Kindle Fire.  The teacher gives them approved websites to use for Science class studying and upcoming test.  They can also read during some class periods using some school approved apps from the Librarian.   Guess you just can't afford not to have one now in elementary school.  I guess my 3rd grade teacher should have welcomed me to bring my Commodore 64 to class back in the day and I could better relate. 

I know several of you on here are more up to speed on tablets than me.  I am faced with a purchase soon and don't want to break the bank doing it.

Now that my son has reached 3rd grade here in Williamson County, he can now "bring his own technology" to school.  According to the teacher, it will be used for online research during their lessons.  They will not be allowed to play games.  There are a couple of computers offered within the classroom but I would imagine more kids than computers when needed.  I don't want that potential situation to be a learning deterrent during the day. Plus, the peer pressure I hear daily of not having technology at class is already on my nerves.  Not really happy with the school system at the moment.

I have been looking at the 8GB Nextbook with 8" screen and Android Jelly OS (?). It sells for $100 at Wal-Mart.  I am not against my son having games on it for when he is at home.  For the money, and for what it will be used for, is this my best budget buy?  It does have an SD slot to add more storage.

I like the gray uniform from the VQ photo.  The Adidas photo release I am not liking as much.  Hopefully it will look better in person.  Whatever gets the recruits to turn this program around I will support.

Between Game of Thrones & Boardwalk Empire, I don't really keep up with any other shows on TV. The last one I was following this much was Lost.  For now, GOT & Boardwalk are enough for me.  My wife hates the cost of HBO for our monthly bill but I refuse to let it be cancelled.  I don't think I could go back to basic cable shows again.  HBO has spoiled me.

Knights always sounds like he does not want to be doing a commentators job at a game.  I don't know why they don't prop him up in some Lou Holtz type role and let him breakdown the game from the studio.

A bit wasteful for my taste but I get why they did it.  Now, the rest of the schools that did not will copy Bama & Tennessee with the next big recruit.  That poor guy will probably get over a thousand letters from just a handful of schools.  

Recruiting is a competitive business but it is also a foolish business at times.

Saturday in Gainesville should be brutal for Henderson.  He may go into the stands if the students are on top of their game.  Plenty of material for them to work with.

This is the strangest story I have ever seen.  I want to believe he was duped but he has given interviews where he is quoted as actually seeing this girl in person.  I think he tried the wholesome Tebow route to try and win the heisman and it is now blowing up in his face.  Wasn't it around the time of his grandmother and imiginary girlfriends death that he started getting the national publicity?

There is a reason banners are taken down after he leaves a program.  I am surprised a rival coach has not turned on Cal yet while at UK.  All of these guys must have so much dirt on each other.  I wish I could be iniside recruiting for one season.  Then again, I might never view college athletics the same afterwards. 

Those people need to sit down and shut up!  This is not the time for these type of antics.
