How about the  private cabin rentals at Misty River cabins and RV Resort? Looks like what I am after. Quiet and somewhat secluded.

They are very nice.  You'll be pleased.  Townsend is just close enough to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to have lots to do, but secluded enough to enjoy peace and tranquility.
