Get whoever designs the Ducks' helmits, uniforms, and have them present something. I love thier innovative unis, some are far out and crazy looking but they do make a statement. Or get the people who did the Army, Navy new unis.

The Ducks uniforms were better when the helmets were yellow with Donald Duck on the side

What we have now works just fine.

In the '90s it was considered a drastic uniform shakeup when UT lined its road jersey numerals in black. The Vols were able to win plenty of games without making a statement with their dress.

I'm a traditionalist when it comes to uniforms, but I actually like this.  It's subtle, yet noticeable.

Kids Today have a thing for tacky looking uniforms

Doesn't look bad, although I'd rather have a white facemask, but I'd rather stick with what we've got.

Could you imagine an orange helmet with a white stripe?

Don't love it, don't hate it. It would look better with a white facemask.

We might as well accept the fact that the players love stuff like this. And keeping them (and recruits) happy is the game.

I like the checkerboard but keep the mask white or go back to gray (traditional & reduces glare).

Gray facemasks is about the only change to the current helmets I'd like to see.

That might be for something different.  Maybe try it a game or two...

I don't think Riddell makes the Vols helmets.  I believe that Schutt does.  Perhaps this is like the black helmets we saw before; just someone's personal idea.  Who knows.  I am not thrilled with the design, and I think they should stick with what they have until they earn something special/different by winning on a consistent basis.

UT doesn't have a helmet endorsement contract and has bought a large majority of their helmets from Schutt over the last decade or so, but they do use other manufacturer's helmets as needed, too.  There are only a handful of manufacturers now, and while Schutt is the major supplier, UT does go elsewhere if another manufacturer makes a better helmet for a specific player's needs.

Btw, word on Scout is that Brodus tweeted this, and that this was a custom helmet done by a friend of theirs. The guy has supposedly done all sorts of custom helmets for the guys.

Is that Brodus in that pic?  Whoever it is is wearing an Ooltewah shirt, and I'm pretty sure it isn't Jaquez Smith.  Not that any non-OHS alum would care.

Don't hate it, I do kinda like it. But I'd really love to see a solid black helmet with an orange Power T on it as well as a solid orange with a white Power T and a white strip down the middle.
