Even he admitted that his music was very derivative of others, especially Hendrix. But from a pure technical standpoint, I think he was the best who ever lived. And as a live performer, no one even comes close.
Have you heard of Gary Clark Jr.? He's an up and coming blues/rocker from Austin. For that reason, he's often compared to SRV.
